AEM Group awarded 4-year contract with the USDA

December 2011. AEM Group has been awarded a new 4-year contract with the Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP).

We are using the proprietary internal project management system that we have been developing and improving since 1998 to help us efficiently manage the administrative and technical requirements of large-scale projects. We use it to track task orders and the people responsible for each step, including the detailed subtasks involved in executing the assignment, post-project quality and lessons-learned reviews, invoicing, and archiving.

Hydrogeologist attends ASTM RBCA training

October 2011. Pam Wheeler, AEM Group’s hydrogeologist, attended a two-day ASTM training program, Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) Applied at Petroleum Release Sites in October 2011. ASTM developed this program in cooperation with the USEPA, which has endorsed risk-based decision-making in underground storage tank (UST) corrective action programs.

The course describes the components of the RBCA process, and the relationships of site assessment, risk assessment and corrective action within the RBCA process. Ms. Wheeler, who is in the process of becoming a Certified Professional Geologist, earned continuing education credit and a certificate for attending.

AEM Group awarded a GSA contract number

June 2011. AEM Group has received a GSA Schedule contract. This program allows companies to negotiate a discounted price to complete government work so that government contracts do not have to be negotiated one by one. State and federal governments use the GSA schedule to streamline the process of finding contractors to complete projects.

AEM Group had to undergo a Dun and Bradstreet Open Ratings Past Performance Evaluation as an assessment of likely overall performance. Dun and Bradstreet contacted our customers to find out how they feel about nine factors, including reliability, order accuracy, quality, business relations, and customer support.
