Company history

The latest news is that Advanced Environmental Management Group, LLC (AEM Group), formerly known as Environmental Permit Specialists, LLC (EPS), and generally known as AEM Group, has just been granted the Small Business Administration's Small Disadvantaged Business 8(a) status (March 2008).

In 1997 Messrs. Amarjit Sidhu and Donald Martz opened an Internet-based consulting firm, environmental-help.com, to provide consulting services across the United States and abroad. Through this firm we gained experience in putting together teams of experts to provide regulatory and technical advice to local companies, and to design pollution control equipment to be built by local firms; hence our trademark, Global knowledge, local solutions ®.

Types of customers

We've worked with many different types of industries, companies that produce chemicals and other basic products such as plastics, computer components, asphalt, cement, steel, aluminum, adhesives; companies that modify materials through surface coating, heat treating, electroplating, and chemical blending; and general manufacturers who produce finished goods.

We've also worked with companies who primarily recycle and reuse materials: secondary metal recovery, and rolling stock rehabilitation.

Types of projects

We have developed and administered environmental management systems, prepared air and water permit applications, developed pollution incident prevention plans, prepared risk management plans, conducted environmental site assessments, assisted with remediation projects, and provided general technical advice on attaining and maintaining environmental compliance.

We have worked with some of our customers to close the loop in manufacturing processes, moving towards zero-discharge of chemicals, improved sustainability, and finding markets for materials that would otherwise become waste.
